Rules – Outlined

By your participation, you agree that these rules will govern all aspects of your relationship with the competition and competition-related agents, and the Promoter.
  • The competition is open to anyone over 18 years old.
  • The image must be uploaded before 20th of the month to be eligible for that month’s entry and the file size should be no larger than 2 megabyte (2MB).
  • Images containing identifiable people must have their permission before submission.
  • Images should be presented at high resolution in JPG/JPEG format.
  • Slides converted to digital format are acceptable. Prints are not acceptable.
  • Entrants can submit up to one digital image per category, stating which category each image is to be judged in and include the photographer’s name, address and email address. Do not superimpose writing on the actual image.
  • Minimal digital enhancement is acceptable, but alterations that change the authenticity of the image are not.
  • All photographs received will (if suitable) be added to the Photo Library and maybe used in promotional material by Campfire Travel (print or electronic format). Wherever the image is used credit will be given to the photographer.
  • Do NOT zip or otherwise further compress the images. (Zip files may be rejected as zip files can contain viruses).
  • Winners will be announced by the end of each month.
  • The prize winner will be notified by telephone and email.
  • The prize winners’ names will be published on the competition websites.
  • The Prize winner may be requested to participate in publicity connected to this competition.
  • The prize winner grants permission for the use of their names and photographs in any advertising and promotional material for this competition.
  • The participant unconditionally and irrevocably indemnifies and holds harmless the Promoter and its successors, employees, officers suppliers, contractors, agents, consultants, directors and shareholders against all and any losses, claims, proceedings, actions, damages, (direct, consequential or otherwise), liability, demands, expenses, legal costs (on an attorney and own client basis), medical costs or other costs howsoever arising out of, based upon, or in connection with (directly or indirectly) the participants participation in the competition, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  • The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Promoter reserves the right to cancel or alter any aspect of the competition at any time at its sole discretion without liability.
  • Participants in the competition understand and agree that in order to offer the competition; the Promoter must collect and use personal information about participants. This competition is conducted under the terms of applicable privacy statements. These terms and conditions are subject to change according to the promoter’s discretion.
  • All winners will be featured on https://campfiretravel.com website and in the Campfire Travel E-Magazine following month’s edition.
  • If the winner is unable to accept the prize or in the event that the Promoter is unable to contact the prize winner, the Promoter reserves the right to draw the prize again.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the 1 original prize is unavailable.

What is an entry?

An entry consists of one image.

How are the entries judged?

The entries are judged by members of the http://CampfireTravel.com/community which is free to join. The entrant with the most points / votes will be judged the winner at 12.00 midnight on 14th of every month. Entries must be submitted by 20th of every month to be entered into that month’s competition or they will be entered into the next month’s competition.

Is there a limit to the number of entries that I can enter?

You can enter as many competitions as you want BUT you can only enter each competition once.

Can I enter if I live outside of the U.S.?

Except where prohibited by law, international entries can be submitted.

What format should I save my digital images?

Digital images should at 300 dpi in jpeg format. We recommend the uncompressed file size not be larger than 2 megabytes to ensure a fast upload experience.

Will my images be sold?

No. You retain copyright to your photograph and the Sponsors may not sell your photo entry for a fee. All entries may be posted online so that viewers may view all competing entries and vote on them. Winning entries may be used in connection with the Contest and promotion of the contest or the CampFireTravel brand.

When will the winners be announced?

Winners will be contacted by the end of each month and the winning entries will be published on the CampfireTravel website and in the next edition of the CampFireTravel E-Magazine. Please do not call or e-mail us about the status of your entries.

Can any of the gifts be exchanged for money?

No, none of the prizes can be exchanged for money.h
